Weather affects Florida trip?

1. How many days before a Florida trip (Miami, Orlando) can I count on the weather forecast to predict the weather patterns?

2. How to read the forecast to tell if it will affect our trip?

We plan a lot of outdoor activities (airboat, kayak, beach), most of them are ordered from vendors with specific hours and no flexibility. 10 days before the trip weather shows rain/wind and I'm trying to understand if this is just occasional shower or something that will further affect the trip. Thanks!

No weather forecast model is 100 pct perfect, even within a day. I'd be more confident a few days out than 10 days. The weather forecast tell you how much rain and if occasional showers or not, you just have to read the details. At least the ones I read do, like weather.com and accuweather. They also show wind speed.
