WDW in mid June or mid October?

We are planning a family trip to Florida either in mid June or mid October. From what I hear June is a bad month weather/crowd wise. How is mid October at WDW, the weather and the crowds? Thanks for your response!!!

I live in Daytona Beach and Oct is our favorite month to go to the attractions because the weather is great, the humidity is gone and so are most of the crowds.

October is one of the best months to go...the heat and humidity have wound down...late October, early November is best too. Anytime is great in Florida except the summer months.

I vote for October! We usually go in October or November. But things to remember: the parks hours are different, like they may close at 6pm. So check! also the "special events" like the fireworks or special parades may or may not be offered during the afternoon or at night. We were very disappointed that there were no fireworks and no parades on the days we were there. I learned my lesson! CHeck the hours and events. ALso during those months (the least crowded) they do alot of maintenance on certain attractions-be sure to ask! June is very crowded and very hot, but if you stay in the park you can go back during the hottest part of the day and swim (or take a nap) and go back in until 10p or 12M. Depends on your family! You'll have a blast!

I agree with the above posters...October is wonderful at WDW. The hours may be shorter, but the lines are also a great deal shorter. Standing in lines for hours in high heat is not our family's idea of a vacation. I highly recommend the book called The Unofficial Guide to Disney World by Sehlinger. It gives times, temperatures, reviews and descriptions of rides, shows, and restaurants, as well as many helpful tips. The book also gives plans to follow so that you spend the least amount of time on lines. We call this book our Disney Bible.Have fun!
