WAYNESVILLE NORTH CAROLINA

Going to Highlands, Waynesville area to see scenery and play golf. Any information on great golf courses or places to stay. Has anyone stayed at Waynesville Inn?
Thanks,

Are you going to the Highlands Inn? Nuff said there.

Not sure but we will be in Highlands for only one night. Mainly Waynesville area I think. Which do you think is prettier?

Can't comment on the golf (I'm retired from that game) but I would much prefer to spend my time in the Highlands area than the Waynesville area, although admittedly, Waynesville may be more what you are seeking - http://www.highlandschamber.org/, http://www.golflink.com/golf-courses...olf-city-state, http://www.waynesville.com/

I would be partial to Highlands myself, although I'm not into golf so I can't really comment about that. The town itself is very nice and the surrounding area just gorgeous. Too bad you won't be there for longer...there are some really nice waterfalls in the area.

If you are looking for something a little luxurious, the Old Edwards Inn right in downtown Highlands looks gorgeous.

I agree about Highlands with what the others have said.

Check out the Swag Bed & Breakfast in Waynesville. No golf but amazing scenery, food, & hiking. My husband golfs at the Grove Park in Asheville and likes it a lot- I like the spa!
