I have been looking for an inexpensive motel/hotel for a client in this area. I have not been able to find one that is in his price range of $40-$50. He is in the military and can't afford the really expensive rooms.

Anyone have any ideas??

Hi Penny, there is a huge Army Base, Ft. Drum right there in Watertown. You can try something in Clayton, NY - which is very close to Watertown. I am sure there has to be a Budget Inn.

Thank you so much. Yes he is reporting to duty there, and as you can tell I am up late trying to find him affordable and clean rooms until he has to report.

Penny- Watertown is actually south of Ft. Drum- it's not too far south, but a drive, especially if the weather is bad. There's a MicroTel right outside of Ft.Drum that is very nice and should be in that price range. Ask about the military discount. I'm pretty sure that there is lodging available on base for military and dependents on a nightly basis- you can call Drum's information line or check their website. Good Luck!
