washington dc restaurant for fireworks

Has anyone eaten at the Phillips Flagship Restaurant in Washington DC? They are advertising a dessert buffet during the cherry blossom fireworks. Thank you!

Please check a Zagats before coming to DC. Phillips is old time, not the best. SW Waterfront area, not that easy to get to if you're staying uptwon.

Sorry, but this is really one of my pet peeves -- it's Zagat not Zagats. It becomes very confusing for people!

are you looking for good food or good fireworks? If it is the later, Philips would be fine. Otherwise, eat somewhere else and stand outside near the mall and watch them closeby. Try the Old Ebbitt.

Thanks for the advice. Old Ebbitts Grill is very close to where we are staying. Have you seen these fireworks before? Any advice for viewing during Cherry B. time?

Windows Over Washington restaurant is the areas only revolving, rooftop restaurant. It sits stop the Doubletree Hotel of Crystal City, nearby Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia. I've never been there, just giving you an idea.

If you are staying near Old Ebbitt Grille, then you are also close to the rooftop restaurant at the Hotel Washington. The food is good, but nothing spectacular. The view of the fireworks, however, is great. If you decide to do this, then reserve as early as possible.

I've never seen the Cherry Blossom fireworks - didn't know they had them and have lived in the DC area for over 20 years. I have seen the fireworks on the 4th of July and it is really something fun to do.
