Washington, DC Monuments by Moonlight Tour
Looks like the last thread on this was a year ago so I thought I’d see if anyone has taken this tour recently. Do you actually get off the tour bus for photo ops? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Historic tours of America offers this:
Washington DC's spectacular monuments at night are not to be missed on this 2 1/2 hour fully narrated tour. With stops at the Iwo Jima Memorial, FDR Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veteran and Korean War Memorials you will definitely want to bring your camera. Washington, D.C. is most beautiful after the sun sets.
Further info available thru google

By all means take the trolley tour. It takes off down at Union Station. Our guide was great- funny, knew all sorts of trivia and was impossible to stump! You do get off at the monuments and have plenty of time to stroll and take photos. Much better than a bus tour. We also took a Potomac boat tour, but couldn't hear a thing being said.http://www.historictours.com/washington/

Thanks folks...just booked the Old Towne Trolley Monuments by Moonlight Tour. Also looking at the Washington Walks tour of Georgetown. G'town is one of my favorite parts of DC so it will be fun to hear some inside scoop.
