warm golf destination - new years

i'm looking for a warm weather golf destination in the US (not florida) for new years eve weekend for my fiance's bday. is hilton head warm enough this time of the year? golf doesn't have to be the focal point just nearby.

It might be, it might not be. Some years are delightful, some are not.

It also depends on your definition of "warm enough" Golfers play there all year around, but it is not as warm as Florida.

Scottsdale, Arizona or Palm Springs, Ca. are good choices.

Hilton Head is not too good Dec.\Jan.

I second Palm Springs area like Indian Wells, Palm Desert or La Quinta. Great resturants and shopping as well as golf.

We were in both the Palm Springs & Scottsdale areas in late December 2004. Very cool and raining. It can vary from year to year, and we have encountered sunny and mild to warm weather at those times there other years.

Check the weather averages for both cities for December and January. Warmer and usually drier than most of the US but may not be as warm as you are hoping for.
