We're coming for the Super Bowl this weekend and have a question regarding walking distances/times. We have dinner reservations Friday night at Sainte Marie and on Saturday at Luke restaurants, both located in the Central Business District. We're wondering if these restaurants are within walking distance from the French Quarter. If not, is it easy to get a taxi ride? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

It is a bit of a walk. Taxis are plentiful in the Quarter- you can just wave one down.

It's walkable - but as bouldercolo said - not a short one.
Take a taxi. So much easier.

Depending on where you are walking from in the French Quarter, you can easily walk to Luke which is across the street from a Hilton. How do I know? Our hotel was on Decatur near Canal and we trekked for less than 10 minutes(I'm guessing about 7 minutes actually) every day for 50 cent oysters between 3-6!! They also have HH drinks...My favorite was called the French 75 which was champagne, cognac and lemon juice with a brandy soaked cherry!!

To get to Sainte Marie will take a little longer to walk. Probably 15 mins.

Make sure you get a taxi heading in the direction of your resto. If you don't you could get caught in traffic and a $5-10 ride can turn into $15-20.
Maybe walk over to Canal St from the FQ.
