Have reservations at the Vistana during July, but don't know very much about the property? Can anyone help?

We spent a week at Vistana in January. A very great resort. Are your plans to spend a week at Vistana or to see the attractions of the Orlando area? I ask this, because Vistana is a vacation onto itself. It is very close to DisneyWorld and DisneyVillage, and very many good restaurnats are nearby. If you have more specific questions you can post or e-mail me.

We just returned from the Hampton Resort in Kissimmee (another Vistana property) and it was great. THE Vistana resort is supposed to be even nicer, so I'm sure you'll love it. We drove past the Vistana property, and it looked beautiful !!!

Get ready for the time-share pitch. It was optional, fairly low pressure, and not too painful. We spent 90 minutes, said "no", and pocketed $100.

Have fun !!!

We have stayed at the Vistana Resort and were extemely pleased with our accomadations. We exchanged from our timeshare in Las Vegas into a two-bedroom unit at the Vistana. There are so many things to do in the area you will not be bored. Disneyworld is practically in your backyard. You also have Epcot center, Universal studios, Sea World, Busch Gardens, Cypress Gardens. Kennedy Space Center is about an Hour or two away but well worth the drive. Hope you enjoy your time at the Vistana.

The vistana is a very large resort property, considered to be "Gold Crown" in RCI's catalog of thousands of resorts, only about 200 on the gold list. We have exchnged many places and this was truely a superior resort, well planned with many ammenities on site. Including clubhouse with freeform pool area, well landscaped with palm trees for shade. They also had indoor/outdoor dining. The restaurant (flamingo?) had a good variety available on the menu, and the breakfast buffet offered many choises as well. A grocery store is also on the property. No one gets past the security guard at the gate without a guest pass given out at check in.
The 2 bedroom unit was very spacious. The master bedroom had it's own jacuzi tub, walk in shower and toilet area. The 2nd bedroom had 2 beds, and the living room had a king sleep sofa. there was a 2nd bathroom, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen had all modern appliances. From the balcony we could watch the fireworks over WDW at night. You picked a great resort, at a really convenient location.
