Oops! That's Pierogi, not Perogi. Spellchecker didn't help me there.

I forgot to mention. When you go to Wrigley, you have many choices, but you might be interested in getting a brat & brew at Murphy's Bleachers before the game and to get into that Cubs spirit!

After the game, if you don't want to stop in at Guthries Tavern, you could walk west on Addison about 5.5 blocks to N. Southport (the area is called the Southport Corridor of the Lakeview neighborhood) and have dinner at Tango Sur (Argentinean steakhouse) or maybe Crosby's Kitchen. The first is to the north of the intersection and the latter to the south. The Southport Brown Line station is just to the south of that to get you back downtown to the Loop.

If you wanted to stay in this area for live music, Schuba's is to the south (@ Belmont). Its building is an old Schlitz Brewery house, easily identifiable from the façade.

Of course, I gave you information on Fahlstrom's above - which is in this area as well.

Or, if you wanted to go to a local craft brewer: The Boystown area of Lakeview is to the east of Wrigleyville (around Wrigley Field). Take the Red Line south to Belmont, then walk east 3 blocks to N. Broadway. Dryhop Brewers is just to the south of the intersection.

The main point: You don't have to be a tourist when you come to Chicago. You can be a visitor - whom I'm sure will want to return someday soon for even more fun!

You can't go too wrong with the pizza places identified. I prefer Gino's East or Giordano's, but some folks rave about Lou M's which I enjoyed but not as much as the other two. Everyone has their own tastes.

@OP: Already discussed your the pizza choices above, with the exception of Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder. It serves a product that is like a pizza potpie. I believe they are still are operating on a cash only basis. Their location is very close to the Lincoln Park Zoo (approx. 3.5 blocks to the west on N. Clark St.).

Also advised my opinions as to what and how you need to research in order to choose a pizza parlor which is frequented by local patrons (i.e., repeat customers).

Re: Ann Sathers. This is a smaller (local) restaurant chain with three locations on the north side of Chicago. The ones closest to Wrigley Field would be the one near the Belmont CTA station; and, within walking distance, the one on N. Broadway just south of Hawthorne Place. I used to live one block away from the latter for many years. They are most famous for their cinnamon rolls. Is that what caught your interest?
