Park City, Utah Hotel in Spring
Looking for a splurge accommodation for 2-3 nights in Park City/Deer Valley.
Two adults, so far, choosing between Montage Deer Valley vs St Regis Deer Valley .
Any thoughts and suggestions for sightseeing?
Antelope Island is on our list and we will end with 2 days in Salt Lake City.
Thank you.

R,
I live in Park City and while both of the fancy hotels you mention are just that, if it were me I would stay at the Stein Erickson Lodge. Much nicer atmosphere and location. Stein's is mountain old world elegance while the other two are just ostentatious. It belongs in Park City much more than the other two and has better food!

Reading through TripAdvisor reviews, ostentatious is certainly not a word used to describe Montage Deer Valley. It has a very relaxed mountain-craftsman style (all Montage properties have a relaxed vibe despite being luxury hotels). It is the newest resort in Park City and it is pretty clear that the service levels, amenities and quality of the room product are why the property currently ranks higher than Stein Eriksen Lodge based on the reviews of those who have been to Park City.

I see that you have only posted here twice in 5 years so that makes me wonder just how long you have been connected to the Montage.
We all know TR reviews need to be taken with a certain amount of perspective.
I stand by my recommendation.
