Vero Beach FL
Thinking about heading there in January. I have been looking at things to do in the area besides the beach. We will have a car. A search on here brings up old or limited info. Any insights appreciated. Hotel already set up.
Thanks~~

Your question is, of course, general, so without knowing your interests:
Take a ride up to Sebastian Inlet. Have a picnic along the inlet and watch the sunset over the river. You're not supposed to bring alcohol, but some wine would be OK if you're discrete. Up in that same area, there's the McLarty Treasure Museum that shows some of the finds resulting from shipwrecks in the area (thus "The Treasure Coast").
The Riverside Theater has some interesting shows and at least one comedy night during the week.
If you're into it, I recommend the McKee Botanical Gardens, a little north of Vero on US 1.
