Please do not listen to this nonsense about jeans. Any reputable instructor or patroller will advise you not to wear cotton. The reason being it does not have the ability to wick an evaporate moisture. You are either taking on moisture from the snow, from your body or both. The moisture will stay in cotton and when you go from a high heartrate activity like climbing uphill to get your skis after you crash to a low heartrate activity like lying in the snow trying to figure out what ever inspired you to try this, the moisture will get very cold quickly and you are at risk for hypothermia.
I know you got the picture Cimbrone but I'm making the point in case someone else stumbles upon this and wants to wear their Jordache's into the back bowls. Don't take my word for it, ask any patroller,instructor, liftie, EMT, etc. And if you need cheap stuff, you can get some high grade stuff cheaply on tramdock.com or steepandcheap.com, catch is, they only sell one thing at a time but deeply discounted.
