Venetian Night in Chicago?

Kristi mentioned Venetian night July 29th in Chicago. Could someone tell me what that's about and where they will be holding it? We will be in Chicago July 26-30. Thanks

At Venetian night people decorate their boats with white lights and you go down to watch them sail by. It's from 8:30 to 10:30 at Monroe Harbor I believe. This is the 43rd year of the event.

After the boat parade, they also have fabulous fireworks. I think they rival the ones held on the 4th of July. The boat parade is held at Monroe Harbor, you can see the fireworks along the lakefront in the vicinity of Monroe Harbor. Last time we went, we watched from Navy Pier.
