Vegetarian's Paradise

I remember a great vegetarian Chinese restaurant from 12-15 years ago in Chinatown. Does anyone know if it's still around? Any suggestions for veggie/macro dining in NY?

My sister and I (both veggies) were in NYC 18 months ago. I did a lot of research on the .net beforehand to track down suitable eateries, and can recommend the following:
Ayurveda on the Upper West Side
The strict Hindu eating principles apply here - so the closest you will get to animal products is the yoghurt in the cucumber raita. Definitely the best meal we had in NY. Just make sure that you go when you are hungry!
Zen Palate
Also strictly only veggie fare (no dairy even), we went to two locations, one on the Upper West Side - v, close to the Museum of Natural History, and the other on Union Square. Truly inventive dishes and use of veggies - very yummy.
Angela's Kitchen
Also strictly veggie - with an interesting mix of veggie takes on different cuisines. Also very obliging to make up special dishes. They are located in the East Village I think. We spent a few hours there on a Saturday afternoon taking in the atmosphere and gently working our way through some very nice dishes.
I have all the addresses of the above - but in a guidebook at home! so will try to remember to post them soonest.
On tracking down a veggie rest. in Chinatown ... One of the places I found in my research supposedly had vegetarian fare "with veggies so fresh they were still screaming". So we made the trip and tracked it down one evening. It was a truly colourful place filled with Asians - so you know the food is good - but we also quickly realised that the (what we thought were) poetic descriptions on the menu of Duck's Blood Soup and Snow Frog Pea something else, were in fact not poetic at all and beat a very hasty retreat!
Also worth mentioning that we were on a budget so all these places were good value.

"It was filled with Asians so you know the food is good" - ???? Have you been to McDonald's or Burger King lately? If I were Asian, should I say "It was filled with Europeans so I know the food is good!" ????

Quintessence (maybe you mean that instead of "V") has locations on the upper west side as well as east village(?).
Veggie, lots of vegan options, I think
'raw food" also/exclusively
