Rick Springfield closed the EFX show on December 31, 2002. It was one of the best shows we've seen, but I'm quite partial to Rick. Since we had previously seen the show, we celebrated that New Year's Eve at the Freemont Street Experience Downtown.
We do not care for the Cirque shows. To each their own. We did enjoy Folies Bergere, Mamma Mia, Jubilee and Danny Gans.
We've eaten at Hugo Cellars and thought is was terrible. Kokomos was OK. The portions are huge as well as the price. We enjoyed the Effiel Tower at Paris, Top of the World at the Strat (the view was the highlight), Red Square at Mandalay Bay and Drais at Barbary Coast.
Restaurant recommendations are hard. We've eaten at most of the top recommended restaurants listed on various message boards and thought most were terrible. The ones whom seem to get the worse reviews are the ones we like. Hence: The Steak House at Circus Circus. Again, to each their own. If just have to try them for yourself.
If your interested, we have pics of all our trips on on web page at:

Thank you all for replying to my inquiry.
kvr...I appreciate your thoughts and you posting your picture site. Unfortunately it was down at the time, i"ll try to view them again later. They always say never judge a book by it's cover, I may have to give circus circus' steakhouse a chance. I'm interested in checking out the eiffel tower, not sure about the restaurant yet though. Where can I get a wicked strip view while sipping cocktails? Strat tower, Rio, eiffel tower. Remember I'll be there next month so preferably someplace indoors or if possible heated terrace.
Thanks again.

nystate,
Eifel tower, while a worthwile expenditure is an outdoor smallish enclosure without services. rio is not great for indoor viewing either considering the price. They do have an outdoor "patio" arrangement. Strat may be your best bet although they also have an outdoor observation area. I have not been in their restaurant/bar at the top.

AS for a seafood recommendation, we're trying Aquanox in the Venetian in early March so depending on when you are going I'll post back. We had appetizers and drinks there last Feb. (stone crab and shrimp) and it was very good.

If your still looking for a seafood restaurant I would say Emeril's at the MGM (just ate there this month) or Michael Mina at Bellagio (ate there just before they changed the name from Aqua- same menu though)
personally we do a very light breakfast and then go to lunch so I can't help you with the buffets.
I hate Circus Circus so even if Thomas Keller was cooking Kobe beef it would be a hard sell to get me in there! Craftsteak at the MGM, Prime at Bellagio, the place at the Palms (forgetting the name) would be my choices.
I like Fremont Street but we always combine it with some downtown gambling
If you choose to do some lunches I would head to Olives at Bellagio (have eaten here my last 3 trips- excellent!), Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay, Mon Ami Gabi at Paris and the mexican place in Venetian, can't remember the name but it's the only one!
Weather could be cold in Feb. It snowed on me 2 weeks ago!
