I would check out the Tix4Less type places when you get there for discounted tickets - but if there is a show/entertainer you really want to see - get tickets ahead of time.
Google away to see the different types of shows. IMO - all the Cirque shows are good and I/we also like checking out some of the Magic shows - in additon to variety shows such as V, etc, and Comedy shows - whatever.
Phantom of the Opera is fantastic also. And here is an online service that offers discount tickets for that show. http://www.bargainseatsonline.com/Ph...FcJ0QgodPysASw

My bad. The Vegas Phantom show closed last year. They built an incredible set for it - Chandelier and all.

Before you go check websites like TravelVegas.com & LasVegasAdvisor.com for discounts shows you really want to see. Once you get to Vegas you will find half price ticket places everywhere as well as coupon on books in taxis etc. You can find great discounts there but it can really be hit or miss on the shows available.
