Last time i stayed there was 2 1/2 yrs ago...the atrium suites aren't bad..the regular rooms are so-so...pool is very large tho , location is convenient..you cannot beat if for $49 for sure...but if you are wanting a "nice" place or "deluxe" place this isn't the place!

We've never stayed here but always make a gambling pilgrimage to the New Frontier. It's one of the last 'Old Vegas' casinos--and one of the few where the slots actually spit out money (instead of slips of paper). They also have displays of some of the first slot machines used in Vegas.
Even if you don't stay there, make sure and drop in.

It depends on what you are looking for in a hotel. I stayed a night last summer at the New Frontier for the same price. My room overlooked the strip and the Wynn where my friends were staying and paying somewhere in the $250 range. Yes their room was beautiful and modern. Yet, how much time did I spend in the room, not much! Used the pool, which was fine, nothing special. Location was fantastic, across from the Wynn and next to the stores and shops of the Fashion Island Mall. I used the savings to gamble and eat with a clear conscious. Clean and decent are goods words to describe, nothing fancy, a little worn.

www.cheapovegas.com gives reviews of all the Vegas properties. I've found them to be very accurate!

I stayed there about a year and a half ago in the atrium section - friends stayed in the standard rooms.
It's not one of the OMG-Wow-themed type places. It's older, and could use some re-decorating and general refurbishing, but the rooms my group had were very clean and for the $ spent, a good value. Our only complaint involved long check-in lines. Other than that, it was fine. We were fine with spending less on hotels and more on shows/restaurants.
