Vegas--Legends in Concert?
Hi all,
Okay, I did a search on this forum and read everybody's opinions about Vegas shows. We have decided not to spend the big bucks on Danny Gans and Mystere, even though they were our first choices. We are hoping for a fun, light-hearted, somewhat tacky Vegas experience, and we think that Legends in Concert at the Imperial Palace might fit that bill.
Anybody that saw the show--was it worth the $34.50? Was it a problem for a group of people to sit together? Any other recommendations for Elvis-included shows?
Thanks for your input!

Three more quick questions...
What is the best place to get tickets? Should we wait until the day of the show, or perhaps order online from some place like www.ticketsguaranteed.com?
Thanks!

you can buy your tix at the IP..I got a discount from one of those phamplet booklets you can find in the airport, casinos or your room desk...I don`t know what day is black(no show)....you get 2 drinks free w/ your tix....they have big long tables too(not all though)...so a big group would be feasable...might have to go EARLY nd grease a palm(tip)...if you tip you can get seats up front or booths on a better sight level...seen t many times and have always been impressed...different perfomers every so often...took friends last time and loved it better than some other shows they saw......

Hi Sue,
My family saw the Legends in Concert in Myrtle Beach, SC. We had a blast!!
I had booked early and we were seated fourth row, close to center stage.
One performer, Garth Brooks, chose my husband from the audience to sing with him. They sang "I'v got friends in low places". It was a hoot! I thought my teenage sons would die!
The performers, Willie Nelson, Diana Ross, etc. were all great. The dancers & band they had were excellent. Have fun!

I saw Legends in Concert last year and it was definitely worth the price considering how expensive some shows are and fun. I didn't sit up front but had a good view from the tables on the platform. Got my tickets over the phone ahead of time but I really don't think there is an advantage to doing that you can get them anytime before the show by going to the hotel, which by the way is a dump and not to clean so definitely don't eat there. I have heard that Forever Plaid is a good show to take in also.

I first saw Legends in Concert in 1984--that's how long it has been around. You know it must be good to last at least 17 years--and it may be a lot longer because I don't know when it first appeared. I saw it last month again and it is still a great show, especially for the price.
