Vegas hotels around $100 in January?
We've been invited to a wedding in Vegas for the weekend of January 28th.
With the holidays just over we're looking for budget place. Would like clean, safe hotel in the $100 range as close to the action as possible.
Any ideas for us. Not having much luck so far.
Also has anyone had experience with travelworm.com. Are they a trusted site?
TIA

Just checked Flamingo in Vegas. As you may know Saturday night stays are more expensive. However here's what I found;
Sat. Jan. 28 $165.00
Sun. Jan. 29 $$75.00
Mon. Jan. 30 $85.00
Total of $325.00 which is close to $100.00 a night.

I found the Stratosphere and Palace Station advertised for about $90/night online. I've never stayed at either place myself, but I'm sure you can find plenty of reviews, and other folks here will probably give more suggestions. Have a great time!!

That weekend comes between a bunch of fairly large conventions, so the rates are about as low as you can get on a weekend, period.
The Flamingo is center Strip, and if you can get that rate, I'd say grab it.
Another possibility might be Harrah's or the Monte Carlo-- both are proudly mediocre and offer clean, dull rooms at reasonable rates.

Travelworm is fine but usually their rates are a bit higher than just calling the hotel directly or online at their own site.
Where is the wedding taking place, what end of the strip?
Palace Station is okay if you are looking for a bargain...off the strip a couple of miles but with free shuttle service. www.stationcasinos.com

I just looked on travelocity.com and there are two options that I suggest. Candlewood suites is at $110. a night it is on Paradise which is just East of the Strip or the brand new South Coast is $120. a night it is on LV Blvd but is about 2 miles south of Mandalay Bay (which people associate as being the last big property on the Strip). But this might be an option as you can either take the city bus straight up or a rental car. As I mentioned it is a brand new property opened Dec. 22 so rooms should be nice and new!
