VEGAS DEALS DISAPPEARING
Hi Should we try to book our Thanksgiving trip to Las Vegas now, or wait till much closer? Used to be able to find good deals to Vegas always, now not so much. We don't usually wait long to book flights or hotels or shows once we've decided to go and done some research, but the research is disappointing this time! Is Thanksgiving a time when Vegas might have deals to offer later anyway, since most families will be visiting relatives then? By November, we'll be all "familied out". Thanks

Yep, try booking something now. Thanksgiving is one of the busiest weekends in Vegas! You would think that most people would be visiting family that weekend, but not so. SO many people spend Thanksgiving Day with their families and then head to Vegas the next day.

Book now. The days of good deals are long gone anyway. You might get lower rate on certain days of the week/month but it won't be a "true bargain". Overall hotel rates continue to rise in 'Vegas due to conventions and the willingness of people to pay (and pay and pay). We go to Vegas several times a year and have noticed a big increase in hotel rates, particularly in the last year.
Not to say you cannot get something you may think of as reasonable (everyone has a different definition of reasonable too), so I'd book the hotel now, pay my deposit and keep checking rates. You can always call the hotel and get your rate lowered if it goes down, or cancel and book elsewhere if you find something else.
