Thanks to all who posted a response! It helps to get such great advice from other mothers who have done much more traveling than I have since I'm a first time mom w/o alot of traveling experience with a toddler. I like the condo/suite idea so I'm still looking into my different options.

Lisettemac - Thanks for responding back with the info. Back to planning our trip....

Hi, just wanted to put my two cents in. We have two young boys (4 and 6) and have traveled with them quite a bit. We have taken them to Italy a couple of times, to London, all around the US and, most recently, to Costa Rica.

It can be a pain to travel with young children. And, at times, seem not worth it. But each trip gets better and better - my kids are now great little travelers. They are adventurous, curious, open-minded and love all kinds of food. As a family, we don't get to do all the things my husband and I would do if we were alone. We definitely try to keep things simple. But it is a real joy to share these memories with my little ones. I'm doing this for me as much as for them.

Also, someone suggested the Delaware beaches for your vacation. I second that. We often vacation in Rehoboth Beach - it is a great place for little kids. Lots to do and very kid friendly. San Diego would also be at the top of my list - we went in February and the whole family had fun.
