Vacation Recommendation w/ my Mom

To celebrate my 40th Bday, I am interested in taking a trip with my 64 yr old mother for about a week. Can anyone recommend a fun trip outside the US that won't cost a fortune and will give us lots of lasting memories.

What do you mean by won;t cost a fortune? What time of year? Where are you coming from? What are your interests and likes/dislikes?

In general, Canada is very inexpensive right now - but without knowing the above can;t help much!

Mexico? Eastern Europe? Thailand?
Where are you coming from and is the length of the flight a consideration? We really need more info!

What about taking the old girl on a cruise. Get one of those rooms with a deck where you can sit and toss back a few as you reflect on your relationship.

What are your common interests? My mom and I both love classical music, so being in Vienna together was extra special. If you like shows, go to London. If you're beach people, try Mexico, the Caribbean, or the South Pacific. If you like wildlife, go to Alaska. Make it a trip that has personal meaning for you both.

Yes, details! You and your mother live where? What month are you thinking of? What kind of budget? What interest do you and your mother have?

Answers to these questions will no doubt bring up some good answers.

A weeks vacation with your mother is a beautiful idea for sure.

When is your birthday, and how active are you and your mother?
Are you male or female?
What things have you done together in the past that you've enjoyed?
Do you have any interest in visiting the country where your ancestors lived?

Ireland.
My mom and I went years ago and it was magical.
We stayed in inexpensive B&B's and Farm and Breakfasts.
The climate is temperate so it won't be too cold whenever you go.
Truly wonderful!
