VACATION ON A BUDGET

We live in the south, just north of Pensacola, FL. I've got 6 kids, and 3 from a previous marriage. The wife and I want to go on a trip to a nice area with the kids but don't want to spend a lot of money. Besides, WDW, where are some affordable but fun places to take the family? It can't be too far away since the pick-up is on its last legs and the kids get tired of sitting in the bed for hours on end. Also, the place has to be handicapped accessible since Joey and Leroy are joined at the hip, and Mary-Lou has polio. Also, the wife hates foreign food so there has to be a Ponderosa or even something fancy like a Red Lobster.
Thanks in advance!

I tried Fodors because people here seem to know everything about travel and most are friendly enough to help out. Oddly enough, some people get angry when people mention things about the poor or desolate. Not everyone stays at a Ritz Carlton, you know. Most of you don't either, but I guess online, we're all rich. Except for me.
