Vacation in Hawaii - Where to stay?

My wife and I are going to Hawaii in October. Since we have never been to Hawaii and will be there 11 nights we need help determining the number of nights to stay in each location (Oahu, Maui, the Big Island). We would like to keep the cost under $100 per night for lodging. Any ideas?

see where2stay.com as a good starting point (select hawaii, then the particular island)..several accommodations in the $ (under $100) to $$ ($101-200) ranges.

Other travelers have mentioned the article Hawaii for Less (via the Internet) at www.senior-infosite.com.

Condos are often very cost effective, especially for lengthy stays, Bed and breakfasts can be reasonable and fun as well. The Big Island is larger than the other islands. We were there for three weeks, and it wasn't long enough, however we love to explore, hike, etc.; it depends upon what you like to do. You could prob. combine a visit to 2-3 of the smaller islands.

Can anybody shut this guy up that pushes senior-infosite.com anytime a hawaii topic comes up. He obviously is pushing his own agenda and is so annoying.

Hi Annoying Roy,

Sorry to have upset you. I honestly had no agenda EXCEPT to help people save some of their hard earned cash. Just trying to help the little guy. Surely, I think, that would have been obvious if you had taken the time to look at the Hawaii notes at the web site suggested. I won't "offer" it again here. Don't want to upset too many children.

Must say that the Fodor link is an excellent one for travel information.

Happy Holidays!
