Vacation Homes to rent outside Seattle

I need help. Can anyone give me a location outside Seattle where there are beautiful vacation homes to rent. We would like to face a lake for boating and fishing and all the other summer activities a family of 2 boys would enjoy. The rental would be for a month. The names of the areas we need to look into would be extremely helpful!!

Depends on how far and which direction you are thinking of. Over in the Leavenworth area there is a place called www.bedfinders.com that we have used for vacation homes and they have been great to work with. There are quite a few homes in the Lake Wenatchee area as well. You can see all the homes on their website, but call them as well...they have been very helpful to us several times. Oh, and this area is only about 2 hours NE of Seattle and has lots of great outdoorsy stuff and awesome hiking and rock climbing!

My daughter had a crew regatta on Lake Stevens, about 30 minutes north east of Seattle. It had a cute town plus lots of nice homes all around this beautiful lake. I was only there for one day in May, but thought it would be a great place to spend a summer.

There are very few such places; most people who own these types of lodgings want to spend summers there themselves. Understandable if you spend winters here.

Try looking at www.vrbo.com - good listings of properties (a month might be on the long end of the scale).

Also, what about Whistler, up the road from Vancouver? Many many condos and houses to rent up there.
