vacation homes in williamsburg, va

My family and I have enjoyed renting vacation homes over the years. I have been trying to find similar accomodations in Williamsburg and have been unsuccessful. I have found quite a few bed and breakfasts, which would be wonderful for my husband and I, but not the whole family. Is anyone aware of homes for rent in the area? I would prefer to be closer to Colonial Williamsburg than Yorktown.

I don't know of any rental homes in Williamsburg for short-term rental. Did you try VRBO? The timeshares often rent out their condos and Colonial Williamsburg rents colonial homes but the colonial homes don't have kitchens.

Hi Jpeg! We got a 3 bedroom unit at the Kings Creek Plantation last year. It's a timeshare place and we booked it through expedia. It was home away from home for our family. Don't know if this is the type of place you're looking for. Good Luck!

No, Birdie, I haven't tried VRBO, but that's a good idea. I'll try it.

Martinan, what was the weekly rate for the timeshare? We have stayed at the Manor Club and loved it. But they only have one and two bedroom units.

Peggy, We got it on expedia and they only had nightly rates. It was around $180 for 2 bedroom and $10 more for the third. But they had a special stay 3 nights get 1 free. Good luck!

You might also try looking at the Condos in Kingsmill. Not sure if they are what you are looking for but they could be an option on the James River.
