VA Beach: dog friendly beachfront hotels???

Can anyone tell me if there are Virginia Beach (beachfront) hotels that allow dogs? Is there a weight limit? Thanks!

Hi cactushugger!

Ive had luck with this website in the past:

http://www.officialpethotels.com/

I entered "virginia beach," made up some dates, and got several results. Scrolling through I did see some that were beachfront.

Good luck finding something and I hope you and your furry friend have a great trip!

Thanks Nature Girl. I checked it out. There aren't many beachfront choices. There used to be at least three more oceanfront hotels that allowed dogs. I suppose inconsiderate pet owners spoiled it for the rest of us. Actually I'm amazed that dogs are still allowed on the beach and boardwalk at all. I bet less than half of the owners pick up after their dogs. They make me furious! I absolutely love dogs. (I'm a pet sitter.) But, I don't like stepping in dog poop. Oops. Sorry. I'm ranting. I'll get off my soap box now. Thanks again!

I've stayed at the Residence Inn several times. Don't know if they have a weight limit but I've seen many dogs and the hotel is great!

BE AWARE that UNLESS things have changed at Va Beach there were only certain times of year when dogs are actually allowed ON the beach if THAT is an issue for you
