May,
I recently purchased a waterproof fanny pack online. I don't remember the site I found, but I believe the phone number for it is 800-441-7234. I ordered it after advice online regarding exploring beaches off the beaten track in Hawaii. It arrived within a week and we are happy with it. Total cost including shipping was just over $20.

We bought a waterproof fanny pack at REI in Seattle - $24. (rei.com) More convenient than something around your wrist or neck - hardly know you've got it on. We went snorkeling with it but not diving. No problems with getting anything wet.

Wow this post is getting more and more hilarious.

I am certainly checking out the "Splash Caddy". Unfortunately, carribeancharlies.com does not have their number listed on their site and their online purchase page doesn't work.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Keep them coming.

Ross, its the SealLine fanny pack. On the rei.com site, just type in waterproof fanny pack in the search rei field on the home page. It'll take you right there -

We bought our Splash Caddy through Magellan's. It is a travel supply catalog. It works great. My husband wears it around his swimsuit. It has a handy belt and two waterproof liners.

You'll be more of a dork to find out your stuff is stolen.

Linda,
Please tell me the toll-free number for Caribbean Charlie. I emailed them for a week and have not received a response. I tried 340-776-3775 ( the number given for logos printed on products)but no one answered. Thanks,
Cathy

I bought 2 waterproof fannie packs last year at Overtons.com. They arrived in 2 days and they worked great-no leakage.

Thanks everyone for Overtons.com and Watchfuleyedesignn.com. Actually I wanted to contact Caribbean Charlie because their prices are cheaper than the splash caddy manufacturer. I couldn't order on Caribbean's website, it had an error and therefore, I wanted to call them.

Hi, I finally got my waterproof fanny pack and I have decided to take many of your suggestions and bought a Splash Caddy Junior (around 7x6"). It was $17.95 excluding shipping. I looked into Caribbeancharlies.com also and was not able to get one from that even though their prices were a few bucks cheaper. I finally settled and bought from Magellans.com.

C, you might give that site a try as well. They have 3 selections. I wouldn't know how well they work because I won't be leaving until next weekend.

Thanks for all your suggestions and comments.

May test it out in a sink before you leave we had to lay out cash after one leaked last year. Another comon ziplock will fix leak but you don't want to be laying out bills to dry as we had to not having tested product before leaving.

Can someone explain why anyone would find it necessary to take cash in the ocean with them? How much cash do people take to the beach ? Aren't there other easier and less rssky alternatives?

You don't have a safe in a condo so you really don't have an alternative if you want to be cautious. How much cash you want to take is up to you. Now explain to the rest of us how you find it so easy to be incredulous about the methods of others when you cannot make these very logical conclusions on your own! Just asking for a little bit of the old critical thinking skills.

The previous poster needs a little of the old "manners" skills.
