Unusual T Shirts

My wonderful husband has given my daughter and me a summer trip to NYC. His only request was to find a couple of T shirts to add to his collection. He doesn't want Hard Rock or I Love NY or NYPD, etc., preferring bars or restaurants with unusual pictures or slogans. Can you help me out with some places that I might be able to find something like this? Thanks in advance!

My Husband got a T-Shirt he loves from a local bar in Hell's Kitchen.

I believe it was called Rudy's. After we had been there the night before (we walked from the Warwick) he actually went back teh next morning just to get a shirt. It really was neat, local, experience!!

Let me know if you want more shirt details or directions, I will get them from my Husband.

Ruby

ps. dont disregared the I Love NY shirts, they are only 5 bucks and even if you never wear it, it was neat to buy something "cheap" from a street vendor

Fashionable New Yorkers buy their tee shirts at H&M. Also try Urban Outfitters.

Don't know about NY tee shirts, but we were in Key West last weekend and found some pretty funny shirts:

3 Margaritas $15
2 Shots $10
4 Beers $12
Taking home the girl who drank all of the above? Priceless!

Who are all these kids following me and why are they calling me "Daddy"???

Hope you find a good tee-shirt for your hubby!

Carib Ruby--The T shirt that you suggested from Rudy's might be just the thing. He tends to like those from pubs and restaurants. He finally retired one from a restaurant called Stroud's in Kansas City. On the back it said "we choke our own chickens". Please give an address. Thanks!

In the 20 plus years of traveling we have always bought a few t-shirts and they've piled up...Recently we took our favorites and had them made into a large quilt...that would be a great surprise for him. No, I don't know how to do it, but others do.. Surprisingly enough pre-birds...the parrot t-shirts from ALL our tropical vacations were the ones that brought back so many memories..

There is a monthly storage company here in NYC that sell t shirts that say, very plainly on the front "I Need My Space". I think its called the Manhattan Storage Company.
