Unusual place to stay in Maine

I am going to take my parents (in their seventies) to Maine in a couple weeks. I read the post about the Keepers house on the Isle au Haut but i think that might be a tad too adventurous for them (they talk of steep ramps etc). Any one have any other unusual/favorite stops along the coast between Boothbay and Acadia??
Unusual resturants??

Bradley Inn, on Pemaquid Point near Pemaquid Light. Although you can't see the ocean from the Inn, it's in a lovely site and a short walk (even shorter drive) down to the lighthouse, interesting rocks, etc. The dining room, as of a few years ago, offered great food, although I wouldn't call it unusual.

Check the Castine Inn. This is a lovely spot along the coast and also has a very good restaurant.

Take the auto road to the top of Mt Battie for an incredible view overlooking Camden harbor. Bring binnoculars and bag chairs. You will all enjoy the view. We take a picnic lunch. Our favorite lobster place is Watermans Beach. Drive past the Owls Head Museum in Rockland and look for signs. You have your choice between tables in the sun looking out on the water or a shady porch in the rear. They don't serve much else beside lobster. It's a very quiet area and pretty. My FIL loved the Cole Transportation Museum in Bangor. They have a lot of old farming and logging equipment so he enjoyed showing us things he used to use and drive on the farm.
