Universal Orlando

I have read somewhere on Fodors that if you visit Universal Studios after 2p.m. you get a reduced price ticket. As we are on a flying visit to Orlando this would be great, but I can't find any mention of it anywhere, even on the website. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I have been to Universal Orlando many times and have never seen a discounted ticket for late entry. I too read about it on Fodors though.
Go to www.disboards.com and scroll down to the section on Universal. They are experts there and I'm sure someone can help you.

Universal does not currently offer reduced price tickets for late entry.

However, the parking is free after 6 p.m., and that means 4 hours of park activity before they close.
I believe that the best bet deal for Universal is the advance purchase 7-day, 2-park price of ~$85 (plus tax). Less than a day at Disney!

If you are a Florida resident, you can get into one of the parks after 4 p.m. on March 28 for $46.95. See

May not help the OP, but info for others.

OK thanks for that. Pity we are not there for 7 days, a fantastic price. "I'll be back!"

Buy the 7day pass anyway, it's much cheaper than almost any alternative!

Plus remember, if you stay at any of the Three Universal Hotels (Hard Rock, Portofino Bay, or Royal Pacific) your room key is a sort of "Fast Pass" onto all of the rides.

My wife and I Stayed at Portofino Bay and with the room keys were able to ride everything in both Universal and Island of Adventure in one afternoon.

It helps a lot.

I agree- -the greatest thing you can do to enhance your Universal Experience is to stay on property so that you move to the front of the lines. Sorry, don't know anything about late admissions.

and all you need is $350/night.
Those perks, and the "pay extra, skip to the front" really bother me. You pay through the nose for tickets, and then those who can afford to pay more get to thumb their noses and cut to the front.

We have never paid anywhere even close to $350 a night to stay on site a Universal. They seem to always run special. There are AAA discounts and package deals. Our Universal vacations have always been MUCH less expensive than our Disney vacations.

We saved ourselves some real money by bypassing the long lines and just getting into the single ride only line. We are a family of four and all went to this line vs the regular line. They say you might not ride with each other, but half the time we did get in the same seat. It is just how they cue you up. Take a chance on it, and save some money. Some waits in the regular line were up to an hour, for single rider only it was never more than a few minutes.
Have Fun!
