Our family purchased tickets through United for a trip to Hawaii in October. The tickets were not cheap, but we were afraid to wait as they were only getting more expensive. I noticed today that the prices for our flights dropped by $100. I called United and they are issuing travel vouchers to us for the difference. Anyone else with tickets on United may want to check and see if their rates have dropped.

Yesterday I looked at United's price for tickets from Washington to Sacramento in December (Christmas time). Today the price went up by $15 per ticket! I bought tickets right away before the price goes up more.

We are traveling from Kansas City and I was hopeful that the prices had dropped across the board. Maybe it is only specific to our area. Keep checking and request the travel voucher if your flights go down!

I guess it's no wonder that United's in such financial distress.
