Tuscon stretches about 40 miles in all directions ... downtown is where the courts/justice bldgs. are and a few other office bldgs. Not much there for a tourist and certainly no place I'd choose to stay.

There are good restuarants in all areas of Tucson, you need to specify where you will be staying and what you like dining wise. And NO you can't walk to them.

Attractions: Get a guide book or AAA book and take a look, or go on-line for tourist info in Tucson. Lots of things to see and do, but you need a car to get to them.

I live in Tucson but your questions are a little to vague to give you a good answer.

Hi John,

Send me an email and I will send you a list of things to do and see that includes clickable links so you can "visit" the places before you get here.

Things are pretty spread out. First let us know exactly where your hotel is located and we can let you know what is within walking distance. We also have a pretty good bus system. Also, let us know when you will be here. If it is June, you wouldn't WANT to walk very far.

Just back from a three day trip...I strongly recommend the Sonora Desert Museum (which is actually a gorgeous, well thought out zoo), and really enjoyed our dinner at J bar (great nachos). There looked to be quite a few nice hotels north of the city. We stayed at The Lodge at Ventana (the suites with kitchens were nice if you have kids and I hear the golf is pretty amazing). The Westin Paloma looked nice. We drove out to Biosphere II (mildly interesting) and down to Tombstone (it was close to family we were visiting in Sierra Vista).

Sorry, can't help you with the golf info. I don't golf. But I will ask around.

i will be staying 2/15-18 and the hotel is the Best Western Royal Sun which i believe is on N. Stone st. I will eat almost anything except suchi and asian or indian stuff. I don't mind walking 7-8 blocks and i never eat in the hotels.

that hotel is just south of Speedway. It would be a little walk (a mile or so), but there are some restaurants on North 4th Ave, and some on University Blvd. In fact, one of my favorite pizza places is on University, called "No Anchovies". There are
other restaurants in that area also.

Having a car would be better.
