It's like an MTV travel show where Cameron Diaz and her celeb buddies go to Costa Rica/Yellowstone/Wherever and rough it. At first glance it's either going to be impossible to turn off in the same way Newlyweds or Amazing Race is, or it'll be the latest sign that the apocalypse is upon us. Don't want to love it but… can't… look… away…

You'd be surprised. I saw Cameron splash around with elephants and their snot/bodily wastes, as well as other less-glamorous activities. Maybe you have to like Cameran Diaz (I do) or actually care about what happens to our planet (environmentally).

CAring about our planet (I do) and wanting to watch Cameron Diaz play in the mud with elephants don't neccessarily go together
I prefer the PBS specials when they use stars like Julia Roberts who lived in the wild with Orangutans for a month. If anyone missed this- keep an eye out for a re-run, it was so good!

Scarlett, you hit it right on the head! Maybe it's a generational thing. I couldn't stand all the solemn, knuckleheaded "we all are one" cliches all the travelers started spouting after close encounters with poverty, animals, and anything vaguely "ceremonial" or "native". The environmentalist messages are so general that I can't believe they're enlightening anyone--as in, "Hey, kids, animals are cool!"
