Traverse City, I'm here !
WOW, I can't post some of the words I could use to describe the traffic here on US 31. It's bumper to bumper and moving slower than congress.
The weather is beautiful. The water is unbelievable perfect. The water is like glass.
I just got done making dinner for 15 men. Well, some think they are men
but mostly young teens. The bike a thon is in the morning and that will entail breakfast for a whole lotta bikers. Wish me luck.
I will write a full trip report after I recover and get some sleep. Any questions let me know.

These posts make me even more pleased that we visited Northern Michigan in late May-early June this year. The Lake Michigan shore and UP were a wonderful vacation spot, and we delighted in pleasant spring weather and the absence of crowds and traffic. (Only complaint is that too many of the roads were in horrible condition -- especially the scenic highway near Muskegon.)

We traveled to Traverse City on Memorial Day. We headed North, while everyone else was heading South. We had a great week. No traffic, no crowds and nearly perfect weather. I plan to go at the same time next year.
Have fun in Traverse City. One of my favorite vacation spots!
