It's official. Per expedia, they have "merged". In other words, expedia gobbled up and destroyed a competitor who was offering lower cost travel rates. With expedia, you can get some low rates, but you have to pay all up front for their "special rates". Yea, I want expedia to hold on to my money for eight months

I liked Travelscape. I also went onto Travelscape and noticed that Expedia didn't incorporate it into it but just got rid of it. I personally dont like expedia's special rates because of its restrictiveness. I book a trip and don't want to pay for it now (honestly-often I can't pay for it now)

I will never book with Expedia again. I had to cancel a reservation last week because the event that I was planning to attend was cancelled due to the recent attacks. Expedia was the only company I spoke with that was totally unsympathetic and refused to waive their cancellation fees. And emailing their customer service is a joke. I sent 3 emails, two of which have gone unreplied and the one reply I did get, what they said had nothing to do with what I asked. This kind of treatment certainly will not generate any future business from me.

I spoke to customer service at Expedia when trying to book a flight - they said their flights pricing changes according to the airlines every so many SECONDS! I am talking a change of $180 to $350! Scam!!! Travelscape was great - a shame it is gone.
