Hi. My hubby, brother and I will be travelling to the USA in November for a three week holiday and I will be 11.5 weeks pregnant. I was just wondering if US immigration would have a problem with letting me into the country because I'm pregnant? I know it seems like a silly question but I don't want to get over there and find I have a problem. I will have travel insurance to cover my pregnancy.

At that point they won't even know-unless you tell them, and why would you do that? Can't see where they would have a problem with it anyway.

You absolutely will not have a problem, especially at such an early stage.

Given your condition, you should make sure that you have adequate medical insurance coverage for your trip to America. The United States does not provide universal medical coverage. In the highly unlikely event that you needed a doctor or a visit to the hospital, you would be shocked to find how expensive it can be to treat even minor injuries or ailments, especially given the unfavorable currency exchange rate.

Aussie, you'll be fine. It's usually the airlines, not immigration that has problems with pregnant women, but not at your early stage anyway. Enjoy your trip, and congratulations!
