Hi, New Zealand, wow! I have family in Holland and a translator that helps me who lives in New Zealand. I think a lot of people from Holland move to New Zealand? Anyways be sure to scroll back in this website as there is lots of info on San Diego. B&B's would be a nice way to stay or then again staying in Mission Bay near Sea World is nice. There are resorts, cheap hotels, whatever you need. Another woman from Alaska is coming down here and staying at La Serena, its a B& B on Pt. Loma near the airport. You can bring pictures of these up on the internet. Fodor's has a B&B guide too. Go back to home page. For ideas on what to see in San Diego, go into the EXCITE search engine and type in "travel to San Diego". Lots of good info. We just drove down there last week and went to the space theater to see the IMAX show on ALASKA. Really nice. Could hear the animals at the Zoo, they were so close. Then theres Shamu at Sea World, Seaport Village, harbour tours, etc. E mail me if you need any more help, but my Eudora e mail has crashed-give me a couple of days to get it up and running again. Ever have that problem?? See ya.

Forgot to give you travel times: From San Diego to L.a. is a little over a 2 hr. drive. From San Diego to Las Vegas is about a 7 hour drive. Lots of good web sites on Las Vegas too. Be sure to see the new J. Paul Getty Museum is L.A. Make reservations for parking ahead of time.

Hello

I can recommend the Handlery Resort Hotel. Stayed there a few months ago and it was quite pleasant. They have a very nice sister hotel in San Fran. Visit the world famous San Diego Zoo for a great zoo experience. I can't recommend highly enough a harbour cruise. We took a cruise under the Coronado Bridge and past all of the US Navy ships. Its mind-blowing just how many there are! I can recommend the Elephant and Castle pub/restaurant at the Holiday Inn on the waterfront. We spent a few very pleasant hours there. Great food at good prices. Enjoy San Diego, its somewhat like Sydney/Perth if you've been to either.

You'll have a great time in San Diego. If you want an expensive place, there's no place like the Del Coronado. If you want something a little less expensive try the Vacation Inn, Old Town. Very nice. Old Town also has some great restaurants, shops, etc. La Jolla is also a must see.
