If you don't want to speed, you obey the speed limits.

If you don't want to get caught speeding, you use a radar detector.

Let's not get too confused here.

I missed that one completely.

Agree that if you can't keep track of how fast you're going (not to the mile - but to stay near the limit) you are way too distracted to ever be behind the wheel of a car.

That's one of the things that you automatically check regularly - like who's driving behind and around you and road conditions several cars ahead.
