Traveling from Memphis to Durango
We are planning our southern route . We would like guidance on where to stop and what to do along the way. Google has us going through Arkansas, Ok City and Albuquerque, and Santa Fe.
Would love to go to Waco Texas to visit Magnolia google says it will add 4 hours driving. and change the route to go through Texarkana, Dallas, Waco, Lubbock, Albuquerque. Is it worth the extra time? Which route would be more scenic, more interesting. Love history and nature. We will be returning in a northern route keying on national parks. Thanks in advance for your help.

The state flower of Texas is the bluebonnet. It is not a bluebell. Bluebell blossoms are larger, extend from the stem and generally have a bell shape. Bluebonnet blossoms are smaller and clustered.
Considering your timing, skipping Texas is probably best. You have a straight shot to Albuquerque from Memphis on I-40. Take it.
