To follow up, DH and I did take our trip and leave the cat for 4 nights. Before leaving Monday morning I gave her fluids and again last night when we returned. The pet sitter came twice a day and I called her almost that much ;-) I am grateful our fuzzy wonder did well but believe that is the last time we will leave her together--the thought of something happening to her while both of us are gone is too much.

Ahhh...AM, I'm so happy to read you are back safe and sound and all is well! I sure felt for you! If you had lived on this side of town, I'd been at your house 4 times a day if you'd wanted. Glad all is well. Hobie sends her best regards to Killer.

Thanks Malesherbes! I'm a little worried because she stopped eating the day before we came home. Could be we need to increase her fluids. She's going back to the vet on Monday. Though we managed to enjoy ourselves I am relieved to be home with her.
