What is the best way to get from the airport (Miami Int'l) to hotel on South Beach? Super Shuttle? Cab? We are a family of 3. What are the approximate cab fares from the airport to the hotel district (Lowes)? If a cab is decided upon, should we wait until we get to Miami and just "hale" one or make a reservation?

I would call your hotel and ask them.

Cab fare from MIA to the Loews won't be ridiculously expensive. It's been a while since I've got a cab from MIA (I usually fly into FLL), but I'm guessing it will be less than $30. SuperShuttle will end up being a bit pricier, since they charge by person.

There are ground transportation dispatchers outside of baggage claim, as I recall. You won't have any problems at all.

I think a cab will be cheaper too. I believe Super Shuttle is about $15pp, so you're looking at $45 for the shuttle. No need to reserve either one in advance.

Cab. The set fee is around $25 and with tip it is $30 and they'll go directly to your hotel.
