Transfer from LAX to Hilton Hotel Universal City

Hi all,
We have now booked our next trip - to Denver where our daughter and her family have moved from Australia to work for 3 years. On the way we are going to stop over in Los Angeles for 4 days. We have not been to Los Angeles for quite a few years but intend to basically take it easy and see just a few of the sights as our mood takes us.
We have decided to stay at the Hilton near Universal Studios and at least go there and otherwise travel by public transport.
Our first problem, though, is to get from LAX to the hotel - we can find precious little information about that. Is it the case that we would be best getting a limousine? I assume the train/bus route would take too long and be too tiring with carting bags after a long flight.
regards,

Take a look at www.supershuttle.com or www.primetimeshuttle.com for quotes. These are shared ride vans. The downside is that they generally circle the airport a few times, trying to fill up with other passengers going to the same area.

The other option is a towncar or limo: http://laxshuttlelimo.com/rates.html

With more than one person, it may be worth the few extra $$ to opt for a towncar/limo after such a long flight.

From Universal, you can take the Metro Red Line trains to other points in LA. www.metro.net
