We just got back from a NOLA vacation last week. One of our tour guides recommended we watch Treme an HBO series.

I just started watching the series last night (borrowed from my local library) - I already watched the first 8 episodes

Highly recommended! It begins in NOLA about 3 months after Katrina. Wish I watched before my trip.

It is a terrific series. My daughter lived in NOLA two years ago and she recognizes many of the people in back ground shots as they like to use locals, if possible. They also filmed all over the city so she saw their filming crew at many different places.

I just finished Season 1 & 2 last night - I am having withdrawals... I don't have HBO so have to wait for season 3 until it is released Nov 18th (according to Amazon).
