Thx for gr8 info on Las Vegas!
I have been lurking here and other Vegas msg bds for 2 wks now, and I am just so impressed with the vast amount of info and detailed opinions that are shared. It really helps immensely in planning a trip.
I have a very long, detailed list of shows/restaurants prepared for our 5night stay in Oct/2000. This will be a 2nd honeymoon for us (15yrs!)and we are extremely excited to see Vegas for 1st time.
We want to stay at Bellagio, but price pushes us toward the MGM. We would rather spend more money towards shows/decadent dinners than on the room. In reserving a room at MGM, any particulars to ask for? Will get a Grand Towers room and will ask for higher floor.
Also, any tips when getting tix for O or Mystere? I know we have to get them 30days in advance, I have the calendar marked. Will also see Danny Gans and Lance Burton, doing the Hoover Dam and Red Rocks too.
Once again, thanks to everyone here for the great information, its very helpful and appreciated by many.

"O" tickets are ordered thru the Bellagio box office. There is an 800 number, I got it by calling the hotel.
Definitely call 30 days in advance and early in the day.
It is worth the effort and money to see this show. I am glad someone recommended it to us, it is unbelievable.
We have not seen Mystere.

I haven't checked this angle as yet, but since MGM is buying Bellagio, you might be able to get 'priority tickets' to Mystere/O (early reservation access) since you are staying at MGM. Call the 800 number for MGM and ask (1-800-929-1111) and if they're not sure, call the tix office at Bellagio. Try MGM first though.

Thanks for the tip on the Cirque tix. I will def do what I can to get them. We have 5 nights in Vegas, so I am confident.
I think we have decided on Mystere now after reading messages here and at lvol.com. Hard to choose one tho.
I notice that no headliners are posted yet for month of Oct...when might that be known? I am hoping for Louie Anderson, Dana Carvey, Sinbad or Penn & Teller.
We reserved a player suite at MGM tonight, I am so excited to get there. My eyes are blurry from reading so many message boards today, lol.
Gonna splurge on ONE really extravagant dinner. Thinking Emerils Fish House...sound right?
