thinking of moving to DE

We are thinking of moving to Delaware from NJ. Does anyone know any small friendly towns? We have three children under 10 yrs old and would like a small close community.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you looking to live near anything in particular, i.e. jobs in Wilmington? How far are you willing to commute?

Help us out with more info...

Where are you coming from?

What's compelling you to move to DE?

What are your interests/limitations?

Dear JK, have lived here most of my life. Have worked in tourism industry for 10 years promoting DE and it's attractions.
Delaware City is a wonderful, small town for a young family. Albeit you'll have an approx. 30 mile drive to downtown Wilmington, but really most of our work force is in suburbia, unless you work for MBNA,(which is leaving us and Bank of America is coming in). There are many development type neighborhoods surrounding Wilmington. Within the city proper are places like Trolley Square, Highlands, Forty Acres. Try contacting the local Convention and Visitors bureau at www.visitwilmingtonde.com. They have a visitors guide with lots of info.
As an aside -- I was wondering who/where "August" is?
