The Wave, AZ, the Antelope canyon, AZ, Horseshoe bend, AZ

I will be going to Arizona in June and I would like to visit The Wave, AZ. Is it hard to find and get the permit and where to purchase the permit and how early in advance? Is it worth to visit The Antelope canyon, AZ and the Horseshoe bend, AZ? Any ideas how many days I should take to see all these 3 spots?

BLM issues 20 permits per day for hiking to the Wave so, yes, it is hard to get a permit. And with all the publicity about the Wave it is just going to get harder. Ten permits are issued ahead of time (four months ahead) via an internet lottery and ten are issued the day before at the BLM office.

I was in Kanab, Ut last September at the BLM office where permits are given. Shanti is correct, 10 are given at the office. The other 10 via Internet - Reserve ASAP The Wave is about 15 miles away in Arizona off House Rock Valley Road

I attended two lottery drawings (2 separate days). Over 100 people each day from China to Germany. The record is held by a South Korean who tried for 18 (or was is 11) days without winning.

Now for the ten passes. If the first drawing is for a group of 10, the lottery for that day is finished.

Yes, seeing THE Wave is a must. There are actually two Waves - # 1 and # 2. #1 is the the most impressive.

Antelope Canyon - June 21st (the solstice thing) is the best day of the year to enjoy it. As such it will be crowded with photographers and tripods. You need a permit from Navajo Indian Nation that can be purchased in Page.

The bend is interest loop, but see it on the Internet and make your own decision

Tour of Glen Canyon dam is very interesting.
