Does anyone have any feedback on this?

My hotel recomended Lele and it did not dissapoint! It was a bit pricey but still well worth the entertainemnt (got a beatiful sunset to boot!)

Book early as they tend to fill up a week or two in advance.

Although we did not attend this event, we did see it take place right next to us as we dined a Pacific-O's. The setting was gorgeous and it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves.

We went to the Old Lahaina Luau (same company that operates the The Feast at Lele). Although others have praised it, I thought it was a little over rated (at least the food was). In retrospect, I wish we had done the Feast.

We did The Feast at Lele on our honeymoon last summer and it will always be a wonderful memory. I booked early , about 4 mos. ahead and we had a table right in front of the action. I have the best pictures from that event and my husband filmed the whole thing. I will never forget it .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the OLL used to be in the location that the Feast is now?

Anyway, we went to the Feast at Lele 2 years ago and the Old Lahaina Luau 3 times before that. My most memorable was the first time (old location) at the OLL. It seems to have changed once to got to the new location. The Feast at Lele was good (food and atmosphere), but IMO I thought it was overpriced. Although some of it may be that we went with 4 other people and seemed busy all the time. A table for just 2 would probably be better for this luau.

My hubbie and i went to Feast at Lele on our honeymoon..and thought it was very fun. I like the way you just sit at your table and the different foods are brought to you and tje cuisine corresponded to the particular bit of entertainment that was happening.
Kind of dinner theater style seating with nice sightlines..and a gorgeous sunset..lei greeting and all that jazz. Plus we still have a sweet and kitschy photo that they take of you and you can buy it if you want, kind of thing. Reminded me of how they sell pix after a roller coaster ride! For a romantic thing, i'd highly reccommend..for a family thing, i might go more OLL style.
: O )

94997..
If your kiddos are a bit older or if they are particularly taken with hawaii ..tahitian.. samoan..marquesan..etc. dance and music.. then they might Lele dinner style.
My toddler would definately do better with the smorgasboard and long row seating. It's great and you seem to meet people well during this style of luau. For the honey-moonie type stuff..well Lele is more like a fantasy restaurant replete with hot waiters and lovely wahines everywhere clad mainly in local organics..and delicious "gourmet-style" food.

er..sorry..to clarify:

..kids might *like* Lele dinner.
and
.. the long seating, smorgasboard refers to the Old Lahaina..not Lele.

I'm guessing for kids they would really like Old Lahaina Luau better, it's such wonderful surroundings, big, open, fun. Digging up the pig etc. Lele is more a dinner theater setting.

We went to the Feast at Lele in 2001. It was not cheap but it was wonderful, worth every penny.

Kids like luaus with fire knife dancers. Old Lahaina Luau does not have fire knife dancers. Stay with Feast at Lele or Drums of the Pacific at the Hyatt.

Thanks for the further clarifications.

I have been trying to find more information on the Hyatt one but there is nothing on their website. Are they still offering it?

The Hyatt lu`au is called Drums of the Pacific. It is produced by a company that does many lu`au on several islands. Their shows are essentially the same Polynesian Review. IMO it is not worth paying the asking price of now over $100 a person, but you can always find great discounts from activity agents and through concierge.

This is from the Hyatt site:

This is from an activity site. You can also get discount tickets for other luaus from this site including Old Lahaina Luau.

Hubby and I loved the Feast at Lele. Also we got a discount on it because it was part of our package deal with Pleasant through our AAA travel agent. We got to choose between the Feat at Lele and a variety of other choices, with a nice discount. We chose the Feast at Lele.

Great food and a variety of it, drinks are included, and the entertainment and ocean-side seating is wonderful.

Melissa5, what is the regular price for the Feast at Lele, and how much did you pay?

Rusty, it was a year ago and I don't have my notes handy, but from memory, the regular price was around $90 and we got about $30 off each ticket for Feast at Lele.
