Any recommendations on a Great Luau?

We are leaving for Maui 5/14 til 5/26 and really want to make advance reservations for a great Luau. I have read many people say that the Old Lahaina Luau is the best - is this true?

We were in Maui last month and did the Luau at the Maui Prince. It was very good. We looked at all of our options and discovered there was no fire dancing at the Old Lahaina Luau. That was just our personal preference we wanted included. There are quite a few Luau's very highly rated. Research for your preferences in the show would be my suggestion.

We went to the Royal Hawaiian Luau on the advice of the concierge at our hotel. We were so glad we did. It was wonderful. They did have the fire dancers which made it even better.
Try to bring a camcorder with you to the luaus, once you come back home, you'll be glad you did.

I've only been to one so can't compare, Old Lahaina, our entire family enjoyed it very much.

So, I don't know if it's the "best" but it was a wonderful evening. Good food, beautiful setting, excellent entertainment.

I highly recommend the Feast at Lele. It is located in Lahaina. It is a sit down dinner (no buffet lines), with great food. The show is fantastic and does includes fire dancing, you won't be disappointed!

Drums of the Pacific at the Hyatt has the best fire knife dancer on Maui.

Royal Lahaina Luau may be the best valu because there are lots of coupons available including one in Entertainment Book for 25% off for up to 4 people. Other coupons available in free brochures.

Old Lahaina Luau does not have a fire knife dancer.
